UCSB AAP Accounts
Our users arise from within the University of California, Santa Barbara, campus community. UCSB is a partner with SDSC, the San Diego Supercomputer Center. UCSB also has connections to NCSA, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications.
The OIT offers two types of accounts:
- Individual accounts provide access to all SDSC resources.
- Class accounts provide access to all the SDSC and NCSA resources.
Individual Accounts
The Academic Associates Program (AAP), formerly known as the Block Grant Program, is available exclusively for University of California researchers for computational projects, including proof of concept projects, code development, education projects, or full production runs on BlueGene or OnDemand. Learn how to get an account and start using some of the most powerful supercomputing resources available today.
Please use this application form to request an individual account:
Special Notice: Academic Associates Program

Be sure to migrate your data from these resources by June 30.
