We are here to serve you.
To do this, we wear a number of different hats:
- We support users of SDSC and NCSA resources.
- We support UCSB faculty and researchers in their use of HPC resources.
- We support UCSB students in their use of HPC tools as part of their coursework.
When we say "support," it's not just accounts at SDSC and NCSA:
- We educate users in the available alternatives the architectures, tools, libraries and applications that they might use to solve their computational problems.
- We assist users in designing their HPC applications and in choosing and using the tools to build them.
- We point you to informational resources of all kinds in your pursuit of the quickest path to solving your problem.
- Interested in collaborative research? So are we. Let us know what you're considering and we'll discuss how we might share the load.
It is our goal to make each user of NPACI or NCSA systems successful in solving the problems that caused him or her to turn to a high performance computer in the first place. If we can help you to accomplish this with a minimum of pain and suffering all around, that's good too.
