How to Import Profiles for VPN

If your VPN Client connection window looks like either of the two images following, then your computer is missing the UCSB connection profiles required for connecting to the VPN.

Follow the steps below to import the connection profiles.

Step 1: Download one or more profiles from the UCSB server. We recommend starting with the profile "UCSB_Full_Tunnel_IPsec_UDP.pcf." You will be prompted for your UCSBNetID and password in order to access the profiles.

Step 2: Select Import from the Connection Entries menu in the VPN client.

Step 3: Navigate to where you downloaded the connection profiles, select one, and click Open.

Step 4: Click OK in the result window. If the VPN Client failed to import the file, then it will say why here.
