VPN: How to Get Connected

UCSB operates an OpenVPN server, which requires the installation of a VPN client with a profile that has been customized for UCSB's VPN server. We provide VPN clients that are supported on Windows, and Mac OS X (10.2 or higher).

Please click on and follow the appropriate instructions link below. You will need to provide your UCSBNetID and password in order to download the client software.

Note: VPN connections from the UCSB residential networks (ResNet) are not allowed in order to ensure adherence to ResNet management policies.
